BY WAY OF INTRODUCTION...
My name is Jack Mills and I specialize in tutoring economics to international students, with a particular focus on A Level Economics, GCSE/IGCSE Economics, IB (HL and SL) Economics, AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics and the Hong Kong DSE curriculum.
I've been privileged to see many of my students accepted to some of the best universities in the world, including Hong Kong University, Stanford University, Tsing Hua University, Rensselaer, Tufts University, UCLA and the University of Edinburgh. Additionally former students have attended summer programs at Harvard and Yale.
Before operating as an education entrepreneur, I worked in a high intensity tutoring environment at one of Hong Kong's most prestigious centers where in under two years I delivered over 750 unique customized lessons. This experienced forced me to hone my teaching skills and fully master each global curriculum so that my students could excel in their examinations.
As to my own education, I hold a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary. I briefly attended the Harvard University Extension School. I also hold a Certificate in Graphic Design from the Alberta College of Art + Design, this education being significantly helpful in allowing for efficient visual communication of complex economic models and towards improving student presentation abilities.
I believe that passion is one of the most important things when it comes to teaching and life generally. I'm passionate about teaching economics because when my students have a better understanding of the importance of incentives, competition, and rationality - that doesn't just make them better at economics. This knowledge makes them stronger, more robust people, better equipped to face life's most difficult choices. This passion is especially important when it comes to exam preparation. Entrance examinations are often one of the most pivotal moments in a student's life.

Individual test prep lessons (not scheduled on retainer) are 177 USD or 1380 HKD per hour and must be paid for before the lesson.

Retainers allow students to receive free text consultations for the length of the retainer.
Absences or lessons cancelled without 24 hours notice are billed at the rate of the lesson.
