MEET BRIAN YANG
Brian attended middle school and high school in the U.S. before moving to Canadian International School of Hong Kong to graduate as an Ontario Scholar with the Humanities Scholarship. As such, he is well-versed with both the U.S. system as well as the International Baccalaureate program. Brian earned his BA in English Literature with First Class Honors at Chinese University of Hong Kong and Paris-Sorbonne IV in Paris, having received three separate scholarships.
Brian has been working in the educational industry since he started university. Over the course of his studies, he was employed as a part time instructor by Kowloon True Light Middle school and several academic support and tuition centers both in Hong Kong and Paris.
Upon graduation, he has decided to advance his career in education. He is passionate about helping students achieving their academic goals, especially in a small setting where dedicated and tailored guidance can be rendered.
During his six year working at prestigious local tutorial center in the capacity of Senior Academic Consultant, he has acquired valuable experience and insight preparing students for various examinations including the HKDSE, IBDP, GCSEs and the UK Common Entrance. He also extensive experience developing curricula for both Primary and Secondary students for the benefit of their academic advancement.
Brian has professional experience as an instructor of English Literature, History, and Geography as well as a curriculum developer. Outside of the classroom, Brian enjoys hiking, running, basketball, cycling and traveling. He also has the proud owner of three lovely cats.
